As a student on the Interior Design course you will have the opportunity to work on live briefs set by real clients. We have strong links with local and national interior design companies who provide us with lots of exciting projects. Recently our students have worked with top design companies such as The Design Practice by UBER, leading London-based kitchen design company Roundhouse, and bespoke bathroom design company C.P. Hart.
The Interior Design course is taught by a team of expert academics. We have strong links with industry and many of our students are offered work placements as part of their studies. Previous students have gained placements at companies such as Conran Design Group, JMArchitects, and Scott Brownrigg.
We are Studio West, a group of student designers and makers from different backgrounds who are passionate about design and creating innovative ideas. We work collaboratively with each other and the local community to create unique, bespoke design solutions for clients. We have worked with a range of clients, from small-scale design projects for local businesses, to larger design installations for cultural organisations.
This year we have had the opportunity to work with The National Trust, creating a sustainable design for a community garden in central London. We have also worked with The Design Museum, creating a design installation for their Designers in Residence exhibition. Other projects include the design of a new creative space for a local school and the development of a new product for a design company.
We have found that working on live projects has given us invaluable experience and has helped us to develop our skills as designers. We have also been able to build strong relationships with industry professionals and have gained a real insight into the world of design. We are proud to be a part of Studio West and are excited to see what we can achieve in the future.
